This is the official information and tracking site of Troop 753’s 2009 Philmont Expedition. Here you will be able to find information regarding our trek itinerary, training information, live tracking and journal entries of our crew members leading to the event.

Our crew will depart for Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico on June 11th with eleven other crews as part of the Circle Ten Council contingent. Our crew consists of two adults and nine youth from Troop 753 and one youth from Troop 574 of Carrollton, Texas.

Our eleven day trek will take us across a minimum of 64 miles of the southern half of the Philmont Scout Ranch. We hope to use this site to share our experiences with all who are interested.

Sorry folks, but the crew Blog has been removed from this site because the meaning and intent of some blog entries were being misconstrued by the public at large. As such, all personal journal entries will have to remain that - personal. If you want to get a feel for what this experience is about, talk to someone who went face to face. That way you will be able to get a clear understanding of what a Philmont trek is all about.
