Materials:
Nylon Net (1/2 yard makes approx. 5-6 scrubbies), any color
Crochet hook, size I (or size needed to obtain gauge)

Gauge:
Gauge is not as important as making sure the stitches are full and fit together snugly. Adjust hook size accordingly.

Notes:
Cut nylon net into 2-3 inch strips. Strips may be joined by creating a slip knot. Fold the end of a strip over 1" and cut a 1/2" slit across the fold. Repeat for the second strip. Lay strips one on top of the other running in opposite directions so that the cut ends overlap and the slits line up. Insert the uncut end of the bottom strip through the slits in both strips and pull through. Pull on both strips to tighten the knot, but don't pull too hard, as this will tear the nylon.

This pattern is worked in rounds. Do not join at the end of each round, simply work the next stitch of the next round as indicated.

Pattern:
Chain 2.
Rnd 1: 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook; 8 st.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around; 16 st.
Rnd 3: *sc, 2sc in next*, repeat * around; 24 st.
Rnd 4: *sc in next two st, 2sc in next*, repeat from * around; 32 st. Join with a sl st to first sc. Finish off. Weave in all loose ends with crochet hook.

Care instructions:
I have found that the best way to clean these is to first rinse well under water and then spray it down with a chlorine bleach type cleaner (such as Clorox Clean-up). Allow the scrubbie to sit overnight, rinse well, and launder in detergent and warm water with towels. Lay flat to dry.
